Sioux Falls Arena doing its part to "go green"

SMG-Sioux Falls and Waste Management of Minnesota have announced today that the Sioux Falls Arena successfully diverted 22% of its total waste stream in 2007.

“This is fabulous news! The Arena has done a great job of diverting recycling from the waste stream. We appreciate your hard work in assisting the City with meeting our goals of waste reduction and increased recycling!” said Tracy Maskewit, Recycling Coordinator with the City of Sioux Falls Public Works.

According to data from Waste Management, the Sioux Falls Arena diverted a total volume of 1040 cubic yards of recyclable materials in 2007.
