15 Door Prizes to Celebrate 15 Great Years

We're adding a new twist to the Argus Leader RibFest this year: we're giving away 15 door prizes for 15 great years!

To enter your name in the door prize drawing at this year's event, get a People's Choice ballot at the gate, vote for your favorite Rib vendor, then fill out the rest of the form and enter it to win.

Now in its 15th year, the Argus Leader RibFest has become one of the region’s largest festivals. “South Dakota’s Biggest Backyard BBQ” attracted close to 45,000 festival goers last year!

Join us for four big days of the world’s best BBQ, fantastic national touring, regional and local live entertainment, and fun for the entire family! RibFest opens at 5 PM on Thursday, May 31 and continues Friday, June 1, Saturday, June 2, and Sunday, June 3, with gates opening at 11AM each day.

All of last year's rib vendors will be back again-- Aussom Aussie's, Cowboy's, Desperado's, Famous Dave's, Johnson's BBQ Co., Porky n Beans, Rasta Joe's and Willingham's. At RibFest, these BBQ vendors actually compete for prize money. Each festival attendee receives a voting ballot in which they choose their favorite vendor, so be sure to vote to show your support!

Headlining the Mike's Hard Lemonade concert stage are Night Ranger, Gloriana (welcomed by Borrowed Bucks Roadhouse) and The Spill Canvas. For a complete listing of concerts, visit the Entertainment Line-up page of this Web site.

Free Friday is back this year courtesy of Campbell’s Supply. Stop by any of the region's Campbell’s Supply stores to pick up a ticket good for admission to the festival between 11 AM – 4 PM on Friday, June 1.

Military members and veterans can enjoy the Argus Leader RibFest on Saturday, June 2, from 11 AM to 5 PM.

Also on Saturday, June 2, see if you have what it takes to down as much rib meat as you can in just eight minutes by entering our Competitive Rib Eating Contest, sponsored by Ag United. Finally, Sunday, June 3 will be an admission-free "KidzFest" family day brought to you by Sanford Health and Deal Chicken.com. Bounce Around Inflatables and The Balloon Squad will be on hand, along with arts and crafts, and music by Phil Baker and Do Re Let's Play! A free-will offering will be collected at the gate for Cure Kids Cancer. All KidzFest activities are free.

 Admission to the Argus Leader RibFest is $5.  An all weekend pass is $10.  Tickets can be purchased as you enter the festival grounds.
